For a major documentation project for an international client, Verebus was looking for a proven documentation system.
Solution
Eluxis delivered the documentation system based on IDS. Using this system, Verebus created and published the documentation for four classes of ships. This included plant technical manuals, operator pocket handbooks, startup/shutdown cards, damage control manuals, preparation for sailing handbooks, spare parts catalogs, and job instruction cards. To do so, Verebus utilized IDS, Eluxis’s Component Content Management System.
Outcome
By using IDS, Verebus was able to publish large volumes of documents quickly, automatically, and based on metadata. Much of the documentation content was automatically generated from Excel data. The project has now been completed, and the many hundreds of documents have been delivered to the client in the correct format. Verebus itself described this project as a “pressure cooker” project. IDS was a key tool in completing this “pressure cooker” project within a very short turnaround time.
